Title: Implementation of a temporary, seperate messaging system for specific orders
Post by: c13hqPX7d on July 17, 2013, 01:08 pm
The idea: When you order a product, you can click on the ID (tx#). Below the summary of the order, there is a bulletin where both the vendor and the buyer can post and exchange information. This system is kept completely seperated from the PM system.
You will be able to exchange important information about shipping, the vendor can provide information he would otherwise send with the letter/parcel there.
To encourage people to use proper encryption to keep the whole thing safe, there must be two boxes for putting in text. The first one MUST contain a PGP key for encryption, otherwise the message is not send. In the second box you put the message. If you put an already PGP encrypted message in the second box, the first box can be empty.
Everything must be erased after the order is finalized.

Possible?

My "spin" on it which is similar to what you're saying I think would be having a permanent box for the vendor PGP key and one for the buyer where he can paste his so it's associated with the username. Hypothetically the "system" would always show what key is active for what conversation when it's up/active and it would automatically be deleted the moment the order has been finalized/completed. In addition any time one would get a message from said person any active and completed orders would automatically show up in a box/window at the side of the correspondence window. Last possible suggestion would be to have the ability to "label" discussions and people so one could for example redirect a question/discussion to a sub-vendor account.

I have some other suggested changes which could hypothetically  mix pretty well with these functions in my thread Upgraded Listing Options: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=182090

Indeed, it would mix very good with your ideas. It would make SR a lot easier and comparable, which would especially help people who are new to the Road.

But sometimes I doubt anyone is reading this sub-forum who could implement these ideas :/ This section should be properly moderated.
